EDITORIAL
Welcome to what was our third revised reprint, 'Issue 4', which I considered to be our best original magazine. When reprinted, this issue contains only four articles from the original as we could not fit any more owing to our 40-page limit. Due to the wonders of electronic publishing we are able to restore our review of the ADAM ADAMANT LIVES! episode Black Echo without having to slaughter a single tree.
Subscription copies of the original reprint contained a
free gift, a reproduction of the THE AVENGERS bookmark given away with the series' spin-off
Panther paperbacks. Due to the wonders of electronic publishing we can offer
you the same free gift. Simply click on the image to the right and re-size the
GIF file to 102mm x 69mm. Print on to thin white card, cut around the blue corners
and straighten the sides.
After the publication of Issue 13 we were saddened to hear of the deaths of both Terence Dudley and Gerald Flood. Terence was best known for his work as producer on many of the BBC's prestigious drama series of the sixties and seventies including DOOMWATCH and SURVIVORS which have both been covered recently by 'TIME SCREEN'. He went on to writing and scripted the three DOCTOR WHO stories: Black Orchid, Four to Doomsday and The King's Demons, as well as directing Meglos.
Gerald Flood was one Britain's best-known character actors, often popping up in various rôles on both stage and screen. Little wonder then that he figures extensively in the history of British Telefantasy, his longest telefantasy rôle being that of Conway Henderson in the three PATHFINDERS.. series. He has also made guest appearances in series such as OUT OF THIS WORLD", RANDALL AND HOPKIRK [DECEASED] and DOCTOR WHO to name but a few. Both men died peacefully after long illnesses and will be sadly missed. It is to the memory of both Terence Dudley and Gerald Flood that this issue of "TIME SCREEN" is respectfully dedicated.
I hope you enjoy this issue, our next, Issue 14, may contain a few changes and some very exciting new articles by some writers new to "TIME SCREEN".
So until then…
Stay Alert,

Anthony McKay
