EDITORIAL
Welcome once again to another edition of 'TIME SCREEN'. A lot happened over the few months between the original publication of the 'Revised Issue 3' and the publication of 'Issue 12'. John Nathan-Turner left the DOCTOR WHO production team to be replaced by John Nathan-Turner. The new season started with Remembrance of the Daleks. I had only seen the first two episodes when this editorial was first written, but these two episodes were of such a superior quality one couldn't help wondering why we had had to put up with second rate DOCTOR WHO for so long. These episodes shone out like two pearls in a dung-heap; and I hoped that they form part of a long string.
The rest, as they say, is history. DOCTOR WHO wasn't given the chance to do any more shining as this was the to be the last season of the series. Eventually the BBC proved that there was plenty more dung in the heap than pearls with the DOCTOR WHO movie.
At least the 'TIME SCREEN' crew was able to enjoy yet another Time Screen Dead-Man's Treasure Hunt in 'Avengerland' and I managed to make my annual pilgrimage to Portmeirion for the THE PRISONER convention.
The MAX HEADROOM series update, which featured in this issue, has been incorporated into the original article about the series in the ISSUE 11 web version.
Until next issue, keep watching the screens and…
Stay Alert,

Anthony McKay
