with Richard Briers

0734 In Which We Get to Know the Bears 04:40pm-04:55pm Monday, 5th May 1969
Mary Plain is a small but energetic bear from Berne in Switzerland. Her family are real bears, the kind that can be seen in zoos, but Mary herself is rather extraordinary and unusual even for a bear. In these strange adventures she becomes famous, but not until her curiosity has led her into the oddest situations.

Next week: ‘The Hartwarp Light Railway’ and ‘The Hartwarp Circus’ by John Pudney.
