Brer Rabbit Stories
with George Browne

0298 Brer Rabbit Goes Fishing 04:40pm-04:55pm Monday, 3rd April 1967
“I expect I’ve got you now, Brer Rabbit”, says Brer Fox. Brer Rabbit grins to himself “I expect you haven’t”, he says.

That’s the way the creatures talk to each other in Brer Rabbit Stories. This week George Browne returns to Jackanory to tell five more of these traditional Negro tales.

The previous week’s Radio Times advertised the stories as the Brer Rabbit Stories by Joel Chandler Harris.
