Once upon
a time children spent the Winter afternoons playing with their own toy
theatres. The young Winston Churchill was among those who cut out
familiar characters and acted their dramas on a miniature stage. This
week Bernard Cribbins raises the curtain on some old stage favourites.
(Toy theatres and cut-out figures from Pollock’s Toy Theatres.)
There was no edition of Jackanory on Boxing Day, due to the film
When Comedy Was King being shown between 3:45pm and 5:05pm. |
